About this Presentation
Climb aboard the ABS Air Safety Foundation A36 with instructor Tom Turner to practice some of the type-specific maneuvers that are part of the Beechcraft Pilot Proficiency Program (BPPP) initial training flight. Including video shot in N504SJ we’ll cover:

  • Flying By the Numbers for precision and nonprecision approaches, missed approach and holding patterns
  • Responding to the forward cabin door coming open in flight
  • Obtaining and quantifying Best Glide performance
  • Practicing engine-out glide safely and while protecting the engine

Viewers will be able to type in their questions to be answered during the event. We’ll explain how to do so at the beginning of the webinar. This program is recognized for ABS AVIATOR and FAA WINGS credit.

Although this American Bonanza Society program is oriented toward pilots of Beech Bonanzas, Debonairs, Barons and Travel Airs, the discussion, techniques and procedures described are valuable to the pilot of any airplane.

Thomas P. Turner is Executive Director of the American Bonanza Society Air Safety Foundation. He’s instructed in Beech airplanes for over 30 years and worked at ABS full-time for 19 years. In 2015 Tom was inducted into the Flight Instructor Hall of Fame.
