Robert has been involved in aviation since the mid-seventies. He started flying in 1975 and obtained his Flight Instructor designations (CFI/CFII) in 1980 and his multi-engine instructor designation in 1989. He currently holds an ATP Multi/Single Engine license, along with Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic license. He has been an active instructor since 1980 and his most memorable student has been his son, Robert III, who was flying the EA6B Prowler for the United States Marine Corp. Robert has also been an aircraft owner over the years, with his most recent aircraft being a 1980 Beech 58P Baron. This aircraft was sold to another ABS member that wanted to upgrade to a pressurized twin, so he is actively looking for his next aircraft (hopefully a nice Debonair). Over the course of his flying career, he has had the opportunity to fly Cessna, Piper, Mooney, Bonanza, Cirrus, Diamond, and Citabria single and multi-engine aircraft and Citation, Lear, and Embraer 145 jet aircraft. Robert is also a graduate of the ABS Maintenance Academy, ABS Flight Instructor Academy, and is a current and active BPPP instructor. Robert will travel to your location to provide custom ground/flight training in your aircraft and he also provides pre-buy purchase support when considering that next aircraft.
