My wife, Kim (ABS member #57792) and I, along with our puppy, Lucy, live in our hangar home at the Rusty Allen Airport (KRYW) with our turbo-normalized G-36 Bonanza. Flying has always been a lifestyle for us, including trips to Mexico, Canada, Bahamas, and across the United States. Of course, AirVenture Oshkosh is a yearly destination where we enjoy camping in the North 40, meeting fellow pilots and flying enthusiasts.
I grew up in New Orleans, graduated from the University of Texas, and practiced in Austin as a Certified Public Accountant until my retirement in 2017. Throughout my accounting career I continued to instruct ground school at the local community college and flight instruction in the Austin area. I have been actively involved in flight instruction and ground training since obtaining my Certified Flight Instructor rating in 1970.
I routinely provide flight instruction, flight reviews, and instrument proficiency checks to Bonanza owners, as well as other pilots, here on the field and in the local Austin, TX area.
As a BPPP certified flight instructor, I can mentor you to obtain your credentials as a BPPP pilot. I can also help new Bonanza owners with initial checkouts and provide current owners with recurrency flights, flight reviews, and instrument proficiency checks. If you purchase your dream Bonanza, I can help deliver your plane to its new home.
You will recognize many benefits from your BPPP status - become a more proficient and knowledgeable Bonanza owner/pilot, realize insurance premium benefits, and experience pride and recognition among your fellow ABS members.
Although, our primary residence is in the Austin area, we spend the summer months at our cabin in the Brainerd Lakes, Minnesota area. You can contact me during the summer months in Minnesota or in the Austin area during the non-summer months. |
