About this Presentation
Physician and flight instructor Dr. Victor Vogel has a special interest in the effects of aging on pilot performance and ways older pilots may fly safely longer. In this presentation he will:

  • Define the “older pilot” and identify the medical and physiological issues they face.
  • Review practical steps for older pilots to maintain proficiency, particularly in complex aircraft.
  • Discuss practical steps to maintain safety when flying as an older pilot.
  • Review the insurance issues faced by older pilots and suggest ways to maintain insurability.
  • Provide answers to viewer questions.

Viewers will be able to type in their questions to be answered during the event. We’ll explain how to do so at the beginning of the webinar.

Although this American Bonanza Society program is oriented toward pilots of Beech airplanes, the discussion, techniques and procedures described are valuable to the pilot of any airplane.
