Beechcraft Maintenance Evaluation - KEVB

The ABS Air Safety Foundation Beechcraft® Maintenance Evaluation - BME (formerly known as "Service Clinic") is a comprehensive, highly structured visual evaluation of the airplane. The BME is, in effect, a "second opinion" conducted by recognized Beechcraft® experts.

Additionally, when available, an engine inspector will perform borescope, compression checks, and a visual check of engine compartment(s). This is complementary and done at no additional cost to the ABS Member.

Beechcraft® Maintenance Evaluations are available Thursday through Sunday, scheduled in 1-hour and 30-minute increments.

Price is $595 regardless of model.

The Beechcraft® Maintenance Evaluator will review unmodified parts of the airframe. The engine compartment(s) of turbine-modified airplanes will not be evaluated. Owners should note that the modification and additional power of turbine conversions may create stresses and potential issues for those airframes that our evaluators are not aware of and may not detect. The ABS evaluator has the final say on whether a specific turbine-conversion airplane will be accepted for evaluation.

After your appointment, you’ll receive a detailed digital report of your aircraft, including images captured by the Evaluator to help you and your mechanic better identify and understand any potential squawks. Beechcraft® Maintenance Evaluations are just one of the many Member Benefits provided by ABS. You must be a current member of ABS to register and attend.

The BME Evaluator for this clinic is: Bob Ripley
Location: Baker Aviation, New Smyrna Beach, FL (KEVB)

BME Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellations made 15 days or more before the scheduled BME appointment will receive a refund, minus a $50 processing fee.
  • Cancellations made 14 days or less before the appointment are considered late cancellations and are non-refundable. Refunds may be requested but are not guaranteed.
  • No-shows (appointments missed without prior cancellation) are non-refundable, with no exceptions.
If you believe your circumstances warrant a refund after a late cancellation, you may submit a written request via email to [email protected] within 30 days of your scheduled appointment. All refund requests will receive a response within two weeks of submission.

Cancellations Due to Weather and Unforeseen Maintenance
We understand that unexpected events—such as adverse weather, aircraft maintenance issues, or mechanical delays—can sometimes interfere with your ability to attend your BME appointment. In these cases, the same cancellation and refund policy above applies.

If weather or maintenance prevents you from traveling as planned, please notify us as soon as possible and then submit a written refund request following the steps outlined above. Each situation will be reviewed individually, and refunds are not guaranteed but may be considered at ABS’s discretion.
